Panama City Beach, July 2009

We had a wonderful time on vacation this year. Our first day there, we chartered a boat to take the girls out to swim with the dolphins in the wild. They had so much fun. One even bit Bailey on the butt. Bailey wanted to eat at Pineapple Willie's, which we did after an hour wait. Trisha was able to spend some time at the pool soaking in the sun. Both girls loved driving up and down "the strip".

Ball State

June 2009

We spent a weekend at Muncie, IN touring Ball State University campus. Trisha thinks that is where she would like to go to college. It is a very nice campus, although it is a long way from home. She wants to major in Actuary Science and this is the only college in Indiana that offers this major. To be continued . . .

Our Dogs

I have to mention our beautiful and loyal dogs. We have two yorkies, a papilion and a great dane. They are a part of our family and are very spoiled.

Memorial Weekend

On Friday, Bailey, Downer and I went to Capers to eat and then to Wal-Mart. That has become a weekly ritual for us. Then we went to Marilyn and Gary's to visit with Tim, Carolyn, Lara, Nathan, Lylah, Emily and Adam. Since we were not going to be able to go to Lylah's baby shower, we wanted to give her a gift.

On Saturday, we were up fairly early and headed to the farm. We stopped by the flea market in Shepherdsville and looked around. The only purchase was a purse for Trisha. Once at the farm, we visited with Peggy and then went up to Kathy and Rob's. Sunday, we helped Peggy plant garden and grilled out hamburgers. Monday, we headed home. Downer and Bailey were able to spend some time fishing and we all had our share of riding our four-wheelers.

I am going to try blogging. It is a neat way to keep family and friends informed of what is going on in our lives. We are at a slow time now; school is almost over, no sports are going on right now. Softball will start soon. I can't believe that Trisha will be a senior and Bailey will be a sophmore next year; Downer is 50 and I am 48. Life moves so fast.
